I thought today’s tea was really fab and reminded me of why I love using projects in writing classes that ask students to “listen” to themselves and their own writing (as well as their classmates’ “voices”) for various rhetorical purposes.
I searched my 2007 111 class blog for PSA and if you’re considering asking your students to compose audio texts, some of the blog entries might be of interest. Here are all the PSA-related posts. If you scroll down to October 22 you will see many different PSA examples, including some from the ACLU and Heifer International (love them). The October 15 post includes a link to Cindy Selfe’s page of examples. I hope the information and examples are helpful.
