The first Digital Writing Collaborative (DWC) workshop of the year will be held next week—please join us to learn about:
Sound Writing: Integrating Audio in the Composition Classroom
Thursday, August 13, 2:00-3:30
Facilitated by Abby Dubisar
Abby will open the workshop by discussing her and her students’ experiences working with audio, offering pedagogical insights for both those experienced with and those new to working with audio. Abby will then guide workshop participants through the composing of mini-audio essays using the free software program Audacity. By the end of the workshop, participants will have the techno-pedagogical foundations needed for working with audio with their own students.
This workshop is open to all English instructors. Even though it is geared toward a composition classroom the pedagogies and technologies are applicable in other areas of English studies as well.
